CALL FOR TECHNICAL ABSTRACTS and PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TOPICS
Battelle is hosting a "Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Symposium" to showcase the successes of female leaders across a range of scientific and engineering fields and provide a forum for learning and networking through keynote speaker and other oral presentations, scientific symposia, panel discussions, poster sessions, and social events.
We are presently accepting applications for two agenda areas:
-
Technical Abstracts for inclusion in either the scientific symposia or the poster session. The scientific symposia and poster session will feature “cutting edge” science, new areas of research and development, concepts or data in the forefront of science and engineering.
-
Professional Development Topics for inclusion in the oral presentation sessions. Oral presentations will highlight state of the art knowledge on career development with a focus on topics such as leadership, networking, mentoring, education and personal development.
Submission Requirements
An abstract of no more than 500 words that states the objective; outlines the science, engineering, or professional dev elopement challenge; and the method approach for addressing that challenge. The abstract should be explicit with respect to the types of data to be included and summarizes the conclusions that will be made.
Submission Deadline
Submissions were due October 15, 2011.
