Q.A. Officer Takes on New Role

Battelle is pleased to announce that Charles Lawrie has accepted the position of Quality Assurance Coordinator for the Atmospheric Sciences and Applied Technology group. Mr. Lawrie also is the Supervisor of Quality Assurance for Battelle’s AgriFood programs and will retain that responsibility while assuming his new duties.

Mr. Lawrie brings nine years of quality assurance experience to his newest position. Prior to joining Battelle 18 months ago, Mr. Lawrie was a laboratory supervisor in the vitamin laboratory at the Nestle Quality Assurance Laboratory. As a study director at Covance Laboratories, he conducted research supporting the registration of pesticides under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act.

Mr. Lawrie received his bachelor of science in biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his master’s of science in marine, estuarine, and environmental sciences with a concentration in environmental chemistry from the University of Maryland.
