annual meeting of experts worldwide concerned with the important topic of chlorinated dioxins, dibenzofurans, PCBs, organochlorines, and emerging halogenated contaminants, such as the brominated flame retardants, perfluorinated compounds, chiral xenobiotics, and many others. Specialists from all areas of research and environmental investigations related to these compounds, including analysis, sources, toxicology, abatement, risk assessment, and regulatory activity, will meet to discuss the current state of the art.

Battelle is a sponsor of Dioxin 2003 and will organize and chair a special session titled “Contaminated Site Assessment and Monitoring”.

Hosted and chaired by Gary T. Hunt and representatives of an international organization committee, the conference has an impressive list of co-sponsoring and participating organizations, including government, academic, and private sector groups engaged in research and environmental work related to dioxin, PCB, and other halogenated compounds.

The 5-day conference will feature over 500 oral and poster presentations on all areas of current dioxin and organohalogenated compounds research. In addition to organizing a session, Battelle is also attending this year’s symposium as an exhibitor. We cordially invite you to visit our booth.
