Battelle Co-sponsors EPA Pollutants Conference
The 25th Annual Conference on Analysis of Pollutants in the Environment is jointly sponsored by Battelle and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The conference will be held from May 7-9, 2002, at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel in Norfolk, Virginia. This conference continues to be recognized as the leading forum for discussion of technical issues related to environmental water regulations and compliance monitoring. This year, the conference program will include technical presentations on bacteriological tracking, site investigation, organics analysis, sample preservation and holding times, metals analysis, and microbiological methods. Representatives from EPAs Office of Water will present the most recent developments in technology for use in the laboratory. Presenters also include State and independent laboratory experts, Federal and State regulatory personnel, and consultants in the environmental measurements field. Question and answer sessions will follow each presentation. A workshop on Surviving a Laboratory Audit will be presented Tuesday, May 7, 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. Please visit the conference website at http://www.battelle.org/conferences/pollutants, or contact Andrea Grew at Battelle, 781-952-5290, grewa-c@battelle.org.
