![]() Battelle Selected as a Prime Contractor for Large army Logistics Contract

Columbus, OH--Battelle was recently named a prime contractor for the U.S. Army's Field & Installation Readiness Support Team (FIRST) program.
The 20-year FIRST program will consist of four, five-year periods, with an expected total value of $36 billion. This competitively-awarded indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract for the initial period of performance has a ceiling of $9 billion.
Battelle will serve as logistics integrator and lead a team of 25 subcontractors, consisting of nine large defense companies, 14 small businesses, and two universities.
The FIRST contract supports Army logistics to ensure soldiers and facilities maintain a high state of readiness in equipment, training, maintenance, and provisions. As a prime contractor and lead systems integrator, Battelle will oversee a broad range of technical tasks and logistics solutions.
