Battelle's Air Force Market Sector recently was awarded a 5-year, $64.3 million task-order contract for the Technology Task Order Engineering Services II (TTOES II) program at Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma.

Battelle will provide engineering services including studies and analyses, process modeling, design integration, prototype design and development and qualification testing. The contract will be in support of avionics systems, aerospace flight systems, and depot shop support equipment and associated processes.

"We are very pleased to continue to build upon our successful relationship with the Air Force," said Charles Lucius, Vice President and General Manager of the Air Force Market Sector. "This contract will allow us to continue our work to improve the reliability and maintainability of current aircraft and weapons systems and processes while reducing operational costs for the Air Force."

The work under TTOES II will be similar in scope to that performed under the Design Engineering Program (DEP) contracts Battelle currently has for the Sacramento ALC (Air Logistics Center), the Warner Robins ALC, and the Ogden ALC. Under these contracts, Battelle has managed 235 task orders worth more than $265 million.

Other members of Battelle's TTOES team are HJ Ford; O'Neil and Associates; SBI, Inc.; DME; and Knowledge-Based Systems, Inc. (KBSI). There were 149 companies indicating interest in the contract and 12 proposals actually submitted.
