At Battelle, we believe in the saying, “No man is an island.” Human beings do not thrive when isolated from others, and similarly no entity or institution will thrive without collaboration with others.  Putting this into practice, Battelle’s natural mode of operation is to network. More than 5,000 research and development projects are carried out each year with more than a thousand public and private clients. Project teams draw talent from across Battelle’s global businesses through formal and informal networks. So as Battelle began to explore ways to deepen engagement with educators, students, schools and universities, relationships formed that evolved into new networks. It was from this experience that a broader and more deliberate education partnering concept for science and technology emerged.
