Employee Resource Groups


Diversity Leadership Council Employee Resource Groups are supported by Battelle to serve as a business resource and to play a vital role in establishing a mutually beneficial relationship between staff and our valued clients.

 

Multicultural Employee Resource Group
We exist to attract, recruit, and retain a diverse workforce; to address concerns and opportunities relative to race, culture, and organizational barriers while embracing differences to foster a more equitable and inclusive work environment. 


Vision: We aim to create a culturally diverse and evolving workforce that reflects equality and impartiality, while acknowledging individuality, in order to provide innovative solutions and recommendations that promote global business and enhance the quality of life at Battelle and the community it serves.

 

Prism Employee Resource Group
“When light passes through a prism it produces the colors of the rainbow.  At Battelle, Prism is the employee resource group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) staff and their friends and allies.  Prism strives to make Battelle a more inclusive workplace; fostering a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for all employees regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.”

 

Young Professionals Employee Resource Group
We exist to serve as a positive resource for generational issues and concerns at Battelle and cultivate an atmosphere of respect and open communications among generations in Battelle’s workforce in a way that makes Battelle a diverse, agile, and inclusive enterprise that is attractive to current and future staff members from across the generations. So that Staff members across the generations are actively engaged in Battelle’s business, as demonstrated by increased staff retention, the development and implementation of a successful leadership development approach, and a direct, positive impact on Battelle’s performance against its business objectives.


Vision: To pursue cross-generational initiatives in a way that: 1) makes Battelle the employer of choice across a broad spectrum of academic, technical, and business disciplines; and (2) provides current staff members with opportunities, guidance, and support to advance their Battelle careers.

 

The Battelle Able Alliance
We exist to foster a culture that attracts, values, and fully engages individuals with disabilities. In ways that create respect and inclusion; educate our organization to see everyone in a "people first" manner; and challenge our norms. Women’s Network Employee Resource Group
We exist to be a strong advocacy voice and change agent for Battelle staff in areas of concern that women view as essential for business success; In a way that values and is inclusive of all the capabilities, skills, perspectives, and contributions women bring to the workplace, raises staff awareness, and fosters greater understanding and participation by all staff; So that Battelle is successful in maximizing the value all staff offer in achieving its business goals, and is increasingly recognized as an employer of choice for women seeking to reach their full potential.


Vision: The Battelle Women’s ERG is integrated into Battelle’s business objectives creating a diverse and inclusive environment in which (1) women’s perspectives, skills and capabilities are fully valued and respected, (2) women’s career aspirations are realized, and (3) women are fully represented at all levels. As a result, Battelle is recognized as an employer of choice.
