Short Courses

Several short courses are being planned, and additional proposals will be considered. Courses will be offered on Sunday, May 18 (the day before the technical program begins), and possibly on Wednesday afternoon.

Short course proposals will be accepted through September 30, 2007. Proposals should provide the following information:

  • Summary of course content—a concise (maximum 250 words) description of the technology or approach that is the subject of the course, situations in which it would be applicable, and the intended audience. The summary will be used to evaluate the course and, if the course is selected, will be used in the short course descriptions that will be provided to prospective registrants.
  • Biosketches for all instructors
  • A draft agenda and list of the course materials to be provided to participants
  • If students will need computers for classroom exercises, please so indicate.

Submit proposals to chlorcon@battelle.org, or fax to 614-458-7866. Course proposals will be evaluated in October, and you will be notified by October 31. If your course is selected, you will receive information about scheduling and how course registrations will be handled. Course descriptions will be included in the Preliminary Program, which will be printed for a large general mailing and posted at www.battelle.org/chlorcon in January 2008.
