Capabilities: Staff work in all aspects of the indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contracting lifecycle, supporting a convenient, straight-forward contract vehicle to obtain technical studies, analyses, assessments, evaluations, interpretations and investigations. Staff administer the U.S. Army Research Office Scientific Services Program that provides federal agencies with technical services from Battelle, other businesses, academia and independent consultants to solve scientific and technical challenges.

Points of Pride: The Scientific Services Program recently yielded an unprecedented jump from $7 million to $26 million in tasks awarded to Battelle and 287 proposals that obligated $69 million of the $100 million prime contract. This performance has the U.S. Army Research Office considering quadrupling the contract ceiling to $400 million. Battelle Chapel Hill productivity contributes 20 percent to the total National Security Global Business ID/IQ program business volume.
