Capabilities: Includes staff from three product lines in the National Security Division: International Technology Assessments, Information Technology Solutions and Applied Biology and Aerosol Technology. All analysts, scientists and software engineers work as an integrated team to provide solutions and services in support of chemical, biological and radiological defense. The administrative support staff also play host to a myriad of conferences and training seminars in classified and unclassified settings.

Points of Pride: Recently expanded the facility from 8,000 square feet to 24,000 square feet, adding not only room to grow, but also conference capabilities that are unique to Charlottesville. The new facility offers Battelle a competitive advantage and positions Battelle Charlottesville for growth in support of the base realignment and closure actions that will affect its clients in the next three years. All staff members work as a cohesive team for clients who demand expert collaboration in an environment that promotes solid teamwork and strong relationships.

Good Deeds: Several Battelle Charlottesville staff members recently volunteered as Team Battelle judges for the Virginia Piedmont Regional Science Fair and the office has provided financial support to the University of Virginia Biotechnology Training Program.
