Capabilities: Provides the U.S. Air Force (AF) with products and services supporting R&D, acquisition and operations focusing on engineering, information technology, pollution prevention, sensors, human systems, advanced materials, microfabrication, medical preparedness, propulsion and aging aircraft. Supports the State of Ohio and the Department of Homeland Security with homeland defense analyses and technologies.
Points of Pride: Supports a variety of high-priority AF requirements representing more than $30 million in annual revenue. Staff have run the AFRL Turbine Engine Research Center for more than two decades. Recently signed a partnership agreement with the AFRL that facilitates dialogue, encourages collaborative research, protects exchange of confidential and proprietary information and expands the client network for both parties.
Good Deeds: Provides both staff and financial support to the National Aviation Hall of Fame’s youth publication and classroom tool, Skyreach Gazette; the FIRST Lego League Robotics Program; and two regional science fairs. Those endeavors promote math and science education for grades K-12 in the greater Dayton area.
