Capabilities: Generates, acquires, processes, analyzes and disseminates chemical and biological (CB) defense science and technology information. Helps DoD and other agencies meet demanding technological needs and implement high-priority R&D initiatives using CB defense technology.

Points of Pride: Recently earned the Cogswell Award for outstanding industrial security, the most prestigious honor the Defense Security Service awards to cleared contractors in industry and academia. Also has a documented record of excellent customer support to the CB Defense and Homeland Security communities.

Good Deeds: Staff support Battelle Eastern Science & Technology Center activities, including a Big Brothers Big Sisters In-School Mentoring Program, March of Dimes Walk America and Habitat for Humanity. Staff also run food and school supply drives and participated in the planning and construction of the Lynn Stacey Getz community playground in Bel Air, Md.
