Capabilities: Provides technological assistance to the demilitarization community for chemical agent destruction. Also performs environmental monitoring to protect the community and the environment.

Points of Pride: Safely destroy chemical munitions, helping the U.S. meet its treaty obligation of 45 percent destruction of its stockpile by December 2007.

Good Deeds: Staff members coach local sports teams, including a Battelle-sponsored girls softball team. Staff recently supervised a youth group on a Medical Explorer Post in Casas Grandes, Mexico, where they poured concrete floors for adobe homes and provided health supplies to residents.
