BTG, a global leader in commercializing intellectual property (IP), and Battelle Memorial Institute, one of the world's leading technology development companies, announced today that they have agreed to collaborate in commercializing and marketing innovative technologies.
The relationship will combine BTG's expertise in managing and commercializing IP with Battelle's inventive resources and ability to turn technologies into marketable products. The BTG-Battelle agreement covers three main areas:
"Battelle has tremendous technical and development capabilities in complementary areas to BTG. By joining forces, we will be able to accelerate the development of early stage technologies across a range of technology areas" said Geoffrey Porges, BTG's Chief Operating Officer, Europe.
"Bringing technology to the marketplace is Battelle's focus," said Doug Olesen, Battelle's President and Chief Executive Officer. "We're pleased to work closely with a company of BTG's calibre - an international leader in technology commercialization."
Battelle's Chief Financial Officer Mark Kontos added, "Battelle sees this collaboration as a tremendous opportunity to combine our technology development skills with BTG's unparalleled commercialization expertise. Together we can bring a wider array of innovative products to the market than either company could by itself."
