Norfolk, VA - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Battelle are jointly sponsoring the 25th Annual Conference on Analysis of Pollutants in the Environment to be held May 7-9, 2002, at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel in Norfolk, Virginia. This conference is designed to bring together representatives of regulated industries, commercial environmental laboratories, state and federal regulators, municipal water and wastewater laboratories, and environmental consultants and contractors to discuss all aspects of environmental measurement with a particular focus on environmental water regulations, compliance monitoring, and related issues. In its 25th year, EPA's conference continues to be recognized as the leading forum for discussion of technical issues related to environmental water regulations and compliance monitoring. This year, the conference program will include technical presentations on field techniques, bacteriological tracking, site investigation, organics analysis, sample preservation and holding times, metals analysis, bioassay, whole effluent toxicity, and microbiological methods. Representatives from EPA's Office of Water will present the most recent developments in technology for use in your laboratory. Presenters also include state and independent laboratory experts, federal and state regulatory personnel, and consultants in the environmental measurements field. Question and answer sessions will follow each presentation.
