RETIRED AIR FORCE BRIGADIER GENERAL PETE HENNESSEY JOINS BATTELLE

Pete Hennessey, a retired Air Force Brigadier General, recently joined Battelle as Vice President for Strategy Development.

In this role he will have leadership responsibility for crafting strategies to better support Battelle Science and Technology International's Air Force customers. In addition, he is charged with advancing new partnerships in the aerospace industry.

Hennessey most recently served as Director of Logistics, Air Mobility Command and Director of Resources, at the Pentagon Air Force Headquarters. Prior to that he served in senior management positions across a spectrum of wholesale and retail logistics operations and directed several major systems acquisition programs. Hennessey also directed all logistics operations for Air Force mobility forces during Operation Enduring Freedom, the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan.

Hennessey, who will be based in the Columbus, Ohio, Battelle headquarters, received a B.A. in Behavioral Science from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a M.A. in Management from Webster University. He attended the Industrial College of the Armed Forces at National Defense University and the National Security Studies Program for Senior Executives at the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.
