BATTELLE HOSTS OPEN HOUSE AT NEW SAN DIEGO OFFICE

Battelle has established a new office to provide high-end technology services to the Navy and to support commercial needs in the San Diego area.

An open house is scheduled for 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 3 at 3990 Old Town Ave., San Diego. Members of the San Diego Business Community and representatives from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command will be among the attendees.

Battelle is a global leader in science and technology. It develops and commercializes technology and manages laboratories for government and commercial customers. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Battelle and the national labs it manages or co-manages have 16,000 staff members and conduct more than $2.7 billion in annual research and development. Battelle innovations include the development of the office copier machine (Xerox), pioneering work on the compact disc, and medical technology advancements.

Battelle San Diego Operations is capable of providing support in the following areas of business:

  • Developing architectures, systems and techniques for providing Information Assurance services and products to clients
  • Providing leading edge environmental consulting and technology services to government and industrial clients
  • Managing various homeland security initiatives including Defense Management Information System, an emergency response capability used by agencies in crisis situations across America.
