BATTELLE'S HENNESSEY PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT IN AIR FORCE SECTOR

Columbus, Ohio-Brig. Gen. Peter J. Hennessey (USAF, ret.) has been appointed Vice President of Battelle's Air Force Sector. He was serving as Vice President for Strategy Development since joining the company in 2003. In this role he will manage all of Battelle's programs that support the U.S. Air Force.

"Gen. Hennessey will do a great job for us and for our clients," said Stephen E. Kelly, senior VP and general manager for Battelle's National Security Division. "His insight, experience and creativity are unique and will really help drive innovations in technology and operations."

Prior to joining Battelle, Hennessey served as Director of Logistics, Air Mobility Command and Director of Resources, at Air Force Headquarters. He previously had served in senior management positions across the spectrum of wholesale and retail logistics operations and directed several major systems acquisition programs. Hennessey also directed all logistics operations for Air Force mobility forces during Operation Enduring Freedom, the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan.
