NEW CONTRACT ALLOWS BATTELLE TO PROVIDE EXPANDED HOMELAND SECURITY AND ENVIRONMENT SERVICES
Columbus,OH--The Houston Galveston Area Council's (H-GAC) Board of Directors recently awarded a contract through the H-GAC Cooperative Purchasing Program to Battelle to provide Homeland Security and Environmental Services to H-GAC end users nationwide. Currently, local governments from 18 states are members of the H-GAC program. Through this contract, Battelle has formed a project team that includes Geo-Marine Inc., P/Strada, dNOVUS RDI, and CORE6 Solutions.
The competitive award allows Battelle to contract directly with end users to provide homeland security and emergency consulting, planning and related services including: planning and preparedness; management; emergency response; and site assessment, monitoring, and restoration.
In addition, Battelle can provide environmental consulting, planning and related services including: environmental services and studies; protected species coordination; historical and archeological projects; health and quality of life studies and assessment; and additional services relating to site assessments and remediation.

The H-GAC Cooperative Purchasing Program is a well established program that provides government-to-government procurement services to local governments, state agencies, and qualifying
non-profit corporations throughout the United States. The H-GAC Program is intended to benefit users by
minimizing or eliminating the request-for-proposal requirement and accelerating service delivery via this fully competed contract mechanism.
