VICKY A. BAILEY ELECTED TO BATTELLE'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Columbus, Ohio--Battelle announced today that Vicky A. Bailey has been elected to the Board of Directors of the global research and development organization.

Bailey is a Partner in the Washington, D.C. firm of Johnston & Associates and previously served in major leadership positions in industry and government - including President of PSI Energy, Inc.; Commissioner, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC); and Assistant Secretary for Policy and International Affairs, U.S. Department of Energy. Earlier in her career, Bailey served as a Commissioner for the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission and an administrator with the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Bailey holds a B.S. degree from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University and serves on the boards of Equitable Resources, Inc. and Scottish Power PLC.
