John B. McCoy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bank One Corp., has been elected Chairman of Battelle's Board of Directors. His election occurred yesterday at the Board's quarterly meeting. McCoy succeeds Willis S. (Pete) White, Jr., who has completed his tenure as a member of the Board of Directors after 19 years of service, including 11 as Chairman. White now becomes an Associate Director. "John McCoy has provided significant leadership to our Board in a variety of key business areas," said Douglas E. Olesen, Battelle's President and CEO. "At this time when Battelle is developing and commercializing a wide range of new technologies and products, his leadership and advice will be even more important." McCoy has been with Bank One since 1970. He holds a B.A. from Williams College and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. He resides in Chicago. McCoy joined Battelle's Board in 1991.
