COMPARE ANY DEFECT

This module allows you to compare any two defect signals in our defect library. When you press the "Compare Defects!" button, below, a new screen will appear. The screen is divided into two halves - left and right.

On the top of each half is a set of buttons. Use these buttons to select which defect set you wish to use: Characterization, Detection, or Complex. The Characterization set includes mostly larger defects; the Detection set contains small defects; and the Complex set includes groups of defects or defects within defects.

Under each set of buttons are two tables. The first gives defect numbers. If you know the defect number, use this table to select a defect. If not, use the second table; it gives the dimensions of all the defects in the selected defect set. After you select a defect, it will appear in the window occupied by the second table. To show the defect table again, click anywhere on the defect signal and press the "back" key on your browser or simply refresh the screens by reselecting the defect set from the buttons at the top.

One final instruction: the scales on each defect set may be different. The Characterization set uses a step size of xx Gauss between color gradients; the Detection set uses a step size of xx Gauss; and the Complex set use a set size of XX Gauss.
