OUR APPROACH
Battelle’s cross-section of scientists and engineers collaborate on innovative solutions for various disciplines, including structures, materials, electronics, chemical dispersion, thermal fluids, high temperature physics, and fabrication. Using advanced computational mathematics and modeling as the core enabling technology behind many of our engineering solutions, we have developed computational models for numerous engineering processes to minimize or eliminate expensive and time consuming experimental testing and labor intensive repetitive prototyping. From subway cars to spacecraft—Battelle tribologists have delivered solutions to challenges involving seals, bearings, gears, lubricant selection, wear evaluations, and failure analyses.
