BATTELLE ACQUIRES VENTAIRA PHARMACEUTICALS, INC.

Battelle announced today that it will acquire the assets of Ventaira Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company based in Columbus, Ohio, that develops inhalation devices and technology, including the electrohydrodynamic aerosolization technology.  Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

 

Formed in 1997 as Battelle Pulmonary Therapeutics, Inc., the business was later renamed BattellePharma.  It became an independent company in 2003 through private financing and was renamed Ventaira.
