Columbus, OH—What are the trends in the world’s energy markets? Microsoft hopes to illuminate its clients in Prague.
To that end, they’ve called upon Battelle President of Energy Technology Don McConnell, who will be one of the main presenters at the Microsoft 2008 Utility Summit in Prague, Czech Republic on March 28.
The summit will address the challenges facing utilities, including green energy strategies, smart metering, corporate governance, maximizing shareholder value and other related topics.
McConnell’s presentation, entitled “Challenges and Opportunities in Global Energy Markets,” will examine the dynamics of energy markets and their driving forces of rapid growth of affordable energy demands, increased use of electricity and the issues of addressing climate change. McConnell will discuss current market demands and the long-term trends in energy markets as well as the implications of utility strategies and responses.
