Battelle is proud to invest in the communities that our employees and clients call home. Our combination of corporate giving, employee giving and employee volunteerism helps continue the legacy of our founder, Gordon Battelle.

Charitable Giving

Battelle is a nonprofit charitable trust with an annual philanthropic investment that averages $7 million.

We’re strategic with our donations and target the majority of funds to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education initiatives that can make the greatest impact. We also invest in civic and community causes that are important to the communities where we live and work.

Our home city of Columbus, Ohio, has a special place in our company’s heart—it’s where we were founded and where our headquarters remain today—so two-thirds of our total annual giving are dedicated toward giving back to Central Ohio.

Employee Giving

Battelle employees are passionate about supporting causes that impact their neighborhoods, cities and regions. Through our volunteer program called Team Battelle, our employees give their time to vital community programs, which range from bike rides that raise money for cancer research to beach cleanups and backpack donations.
