General Guidelines & Review Criteria

An individual may submit only one paper, and winners of student paper competitions at past Battelle conferences are not eligible.

The primary author must (a) be a full-time student at the time the paper is submitted and (b) give the corresponding poster or platform presentation at the Conference.

Papers will be reviewed for originality of the research, clarity of data presentation, and discussion of results.

Format

Student papers should not exceed 10 pages (including figures, tables, and references). Document settings should be single-spaced, 11-point, Arial type, and 1.25-inch left/right margins.

The paper should be organized into the following sections: title, abstract, introduction, methods, results, conclusions, and references.

To ensure objectivity in the review process, do not include author names and affiliations or an acknowledgments section; both sections can be added to the winning papers before they are published in the proceedings.
