Don’t miss the chance to have your sensor tested. Join Battelle, in partnership with the EPA, for an informational webinar from 9:30 to 11 a.m. EDT. The webinar will focus on the Advanced Septic System Nitrogen Sensor Challenge and associated testing events.

The goal of the Advanced Septic System Nitrogen Sensor Challenge is to identify, test, and verify the performance of low-cost nitrogen sensor packages that can continuously monitor the performance of advanced nitrogen removal septic systems. The intent is to provide a practical measurement system that would lead to increased knowledge, acceptance and utilization of advanced and innovative nitrogen reducing septic systems. Learn more about participation in these upcoming testing and verification events:

  • Aug. 31, 2018: Sensor Developer Application deadline for October 2018 one month test
  • Oct. 1 – Nov. 2, 2018: One month no-risk test at Massachusetts Alternative Septic System Test Center (MASSTC)
  • Dec. 7, 2018: Application deadline for Jan. 2019 one-month test
  • Jan. 7 – Feb. 8, 2019: One month no-risk test at MASSTC
  • March 4, 2019: Battelle notifies sensor teams of acceptance into the six-month field test
  • May 13 – Nov. 15, 2019: Six months of field performance testing at MASSTC for the selected sensors
  • Feb. 21, 2020: ISO ETV 14034 verification statements and reports completed

The best performing sensor(s), as determined by The Nature Conservancy and others, will receive funding for an order of 200 units, up to $300,000. Join the webinar to learn more.
