COLUMBUS, OH., 16 December, 2010—Battelle has been chosen as one of a select number of companies given the chance to bid on $400 million in Army Research Lab contracts over the next five years, Battelle announced today.
The ARL develops and supports new concepts for application of advanced technology with the principal focus on counteracting and defeating the growing worldwide threat from unconventional adversaries.
By contracting with companies like Battelle, the ARL can support the timely development and application of advanced technologies in the areas of communications; information technology; electronics and displays; robotics and automation; tactical power; sensors; remote control systems; situational awareness; force protection and materials development.
Battelle has a long history of providing innovative science and technology solutions to the U.S. Army, other branches of the military and other federal agencies.
The task orders under the ID/IQ contract cover a wide range of technical and mission areas where Battelle has unique and strong capabilities.
