FCPS Receives STEM Grant Donation
Battelle National Biodefense Institute donated $50,000 to Frederick County Public Schools on Tuesday to support science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education.
The donation will fund challenge grants for FCPS teachers for STEM-related projects.
This the second time Battelle has made the donation to FCPS. Last year, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and eight high schools applied for grants, according to a statement from FCPS
