Mike Mulligan Joins Battelle to Focus on Marine Corps Work

ARLINGTON, VA., 14 June, 2010 - Michael J. Mulligan has joined Battelle as a Senior Market Manager with the National Security Global Business, after completing a distinguished career of more than 26 years with the United States Marine Corps and retiring as a Colonel. In his new role, he will have leadership responsibility for providing high-value, affordable, technology-based solutions to Marine Corps customers and their suppliers.

“Mike brings a deep understanding of the technology needs of the Marines, and he is the ideal leader to further enhance Battelle’s impact in this important national security market,” said Chris Gunther, VP for Business Development for Battelle’s Marine Corps Market Sector.

During his USMC career, Mike served as an infantry officer. He has an extensive background in acquisition and training, having served as the Infantry Weapons Product Group Director at the USMC Systems Command and multiple command tours within the USMC Training and Education Command. He is a certified level III acquisition program management specialist and a graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.

Mike will be based in Battelle’s Crystal City office.
