COLUMBUS, OH. 16 September, 2009—Michael A. Aimone has joined Battelle as Vice President, Strategy Development, after completing a distinguished career of federal service with the United States Air Force, retiring as a member of the Senior Executive Service.
Aimone will have principal responsibility for leading Battelle’s business strategies for critical infrastructure and energy needs for national security clients—where Battelle brings technology-rich solutions through its unique management relationship with seven U.S. national laboratories and two international laboratories.

Aimone most recently served as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Installations and Mission Support, and received numerous awards during his distinguished career—including the 2007 Presidential Award for Leadership in Federal Energy Management.
