WASHINGTON, D.C.—Battelle recently donated $10,000 to the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems Foundation (AUVSI) to support educational robotics initiatives.

RICHLAND, Washington – Battelle and the Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory have finalized a cooperative agreement that will authorize the release of all $89 million in Recovery Act funding obligated to the Pacific Northwest Smart Grid Demonstration Project. The funds will be added to another $89 million contributed by the Bonneville Power Administration, 11 utilities and five technology companies that make up the demonstration project team.

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Battelle will lead a team of contractors that will provide products and services to the Army Training and Doctrine Command’s (TRADOC) Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE), located at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, under a five-year, multiple award contract with a $100 million ceiling. The first award was made last week to support the execution of the Army War-fighting Challenge Number 10. Battelle will provide draft running estimates, interim solution strategies and an integrated learning plan based on exercise and venue evaluations.

ARLINGTON, VA., 20 November, 2012—As the White House moves to address cyber security risks with a new Presidential policy directive and imminent Executive Order, national security experts agree there is a pressing need for a cyber doctrine to guide United States policy in an era of proliferating cyber challenges.

On April 27, the University of Guam signed a teaming agreement Battelle for environmental sustainability and renewable energy projects. The signing took place at 11:00 a.m. at the University of Guam, President’s Office Conference Room.

Columbus, Ohio—A consortium of Serco, Battelle, and The University of Manchester in England has been named to run the new United Kingdom National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL).

Aberdeen, MD—The U.S. Air Force recently awarded a three-year, task order contract to Battelle to assist with the 649th Aeronautical Systems Squadron move from Brooks City Base in San Antonio, Texas, to the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland. The contract has a ceiling of over $32 million.
