The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority has chosen Battelle to continue water quality monitoring to assess potential impacts associated with the discharge of municipal wastewater effluent into Massachusetts Bay.

In Steve Risser’s impressive career at Battelle that began in 1999, the Research Leader has been involved with an impressive array of scientific pursuits. This year, Risser is recognized not only as Battelle’s Inventor of the Year, but the number of patents he’s earned also qualify him as a Battelle Distinguished Inventor.

Battelle and Nanotherapeutics, Inc. announced today that the organizations have entered an alliance to bring together core research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) and manufacturing capabilities needed to expedite the development of medical countermeasures urgently required by the Department of Defense (DoD) to protect deployed military forces from CBRN threats.

Today the Lightweight Innovations for Tomorrow (LIFT) national manufacturing institute announced the launch of MakerMinded across Ohio. The effort is made in partnership with Battelle and Tennessee Tech University’s iCube. MakerMinded is a new online STEM learning and competition platform designed to inspire students about advanced manufacturing and provide them with transformational STEM learning experiences that set them on track towards 21st century manufacturing careers.

The Navy’s fleet of F/A-18 Hornet aircraft certainly qualifies and has been the beneficiary of the Naval Synchronization Toolset (NST), a forecast analytic system that helps synchronize aircraft capability sets with the reality of availability.

Battelle announced today that it has entered an agreement to sell approximately 20 acres of land in Columbus to a development team led by Wagenbrenner Development and Fortress Real Estate Companies.
