About Annie
Annie Diorio-Blum has 11 years of experience in the medical device design and product development field. She has experience working in multi-disciplinary teams consisting of industrial designers, engineers and human factors engineers. She has spent the majority of her career primarily focused on design and ethnographic research in the healthcare space.Annie's research efforts have taken her to many hospitals, clinical care and home health care settings throughout the United States and Europe. She has extensive experience in data analysis, synthesis and translating research findings into user requirements for design and engineering teams. She has completed moderator training for conducting focus groups, contextual research and in-depth interviews from the RIVA training institute, and has conducted more than 500 interviews in her career.
Annie has been responsible for conducting several different types of human factors usability studies ranging from the automotive industry, military, medical devices and website/interface design. Her background is in Industrial design. She also has experience in graphic design focusing on information graphics for instructions for use (IFU) and quick reference guides (QRG).
