Victoria H. Coleman-Cowger, Ph.D.
Principal Research Scientist Victoria H. Coleman-Cowger brings more than 10 years of research experience in the areas of women’s health, substance use, mental health, and health disparities. Her current research focuses on tobacco use during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Dr. Coleman-Cowger is the Principal Investigator on a National Institute on Drug Abuse project to develop and pilot test a smoking cessation and relapse prevention intervention for low-income pregnant African-American women. She has published more than 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals and holds faculty appointments at the University of Maryland Baltimore and Johns Hopkins University.
