Challenge

Battelle entered a collaborative development program with a client company to develop a range of single dose autoinjectors that would leverage similar mechanisms, primary container closures and other scale and scope features to allow for economies in production. ​

Solution

  • Identifying materials that would be suitable across the range of molecules in the client company’s pipeline and potential for dose variation.​
  • Leveraging human factors evaluations to identify opportunities in design early to allow resulting solution to be as intuitive to use as possible for target users.​
  • Identified long term manufacturing partner and completed collaboration with both 3rd party teams (Battelle & Manufacturer) contributing to design for high volume manufacturing.​
