Fredericktown Local Schools has launched an Engineering and Manufacturing Academy designed to give students hands-on exposure to careers in high-demand technical fields.  The program follows a career-focused, vocational-style model that allows students to explore pathways such as engineering, automation, and manufacturing while still in high school.  Through real-world projects and lab-based learning, students are able to connect classroom concepts to practical applications and begin developing skills relevant to today’s workforce.

A $185,000 grant from Batelle funds the manufacturing program. The program simulates a work environment to help prepare students for life after high school.
