The Sixth International Symposium on Bioremediation and Sustainable Environmental Technologies will be held May 17-20, 2021, in Miami, Florida, at the Hyatt Regency Miami Hotel (400 SE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33131). Information on room rates and reservation options will be available in September 2020.

Battelle’s Bioremediation Symposium is a forum for sharing research results, practical experiences, and opportunities associated with advances in bioremediation and green and sustainable practices in remediation; the development, implementation, use, and results of advanced tools for assessment and monitoring; and the challenges of applying bioremediation at various types of complex sites. Treatment technologies for emerging contaminants, including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are also examined.

The 2019 Symposium was attended by more than 800 environmental professionals from 28 countries. Nearly 440 platforms and posters were presented in 48 breakout sessions, and four panel discussions were conducted.

The technical scope for the 2021 Bioremediation Symposium will provide updates and additions to topics covered by the 2019 Symposium and reflect emerging issues and initiatives

The Call for Abstracts brochure will be available here in June 2020, which will include the major thematic areas for the Conference. Abstracts will be due in mid-September 2020.
