The Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN) will reach 51,000 Ohio students this year with awards, funded by Battelle, to 151 Ohio classrooms. The grants will create sustainable, STEM learning projects in public and private K-12 schools across 55 Ohio counties.

Battelle’s Logistics, Operations & Ground Systems business line, in collaboration with Ford Motor Company was awarded a Large Sport Utility Vehicle (LSUV) design contract from the U.S. Department of State (DoS), on behalf of the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS), to develop a purpose-built armored vehicle design by modifying existing commercial items and deliver four prototype armored Ford Expedition vehicles with distinct requirements for protection missions.

Metro Schools, founded in 2006 by Battelle and The Ohio State University, was granted state funding today to renovate the historic former Indianola Middle School to expand the school’s high-quality science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) focused education.
