Senior Industrial EngineerKrista Smith is a Senior Industrial Designer and Human Factors Engineer with over 15 years of experience in medical device product development, industrial design, visual communications, user experience research, and human factors engineering. As the human-centered design (HCD) team lead, she leads the design and development of innovative products, handling study planning, usability engineering documentation, concept development, usability testing, risk evaluation, and regulatory approval support. -
Jessica Sanford, Ph.D.
Senior Human Factors EngineerJessica Sanford is a Senior Human Factors Engineer with over 30 years of experience in research and development, supporting government and private sector clients. Holding a PhD in quantitative psychology, her expertise includes human factors, cognitive engineering, mental workload assessment, and decision analysis. Jessica specializes in evaluating human interaction with the built environment across areas like health exposure, risk assessment, regulatory support, and user evaluations. Her experience extends to program evaluation, quality assurance, environmental monitoring, pollution prevention, toxicology, epidemiology, transportation safety, and 508 compliance checks. -
Emma Coughlin
UX/UI DesignerEmma Coughlin is a User Experience and User Interface Designer specializing in medical device product design. She excels in human-centered design through front-end research, design development, and usability testing. Emma uses her skills in visual communication and industrial design to create graphical user interfaces, Instructions for Use, and early concept visualizations with CAD modeling and rendering. She has a strong background in gathering user feedback throughout product development, including human factors evaluations and generative research with contextual inquiries, preference studies, and focus groups.
