DUXBURY, Mass. (May 15, 2017)—Battelle announced today that it has a new, signed purchase and sale agreement with developer Diamond/Sinacori that outlines a revised plan for a single-family home development on its 11-acre campus on Washington Street.
The new plan calls for a subdivision of eight home sites focused on respecting the historic and scenic nature of the unique property.
“We intend to create a beautiful, private community that will reflect the historic architecture in Duxbury,” said Merrill Diamond, Founding Partner. “The eight home sites will be conveyed with design guidelines and conservation restrictions to ensure the quality and appropriateness of everything constructed on this important and unique waterfront property.”
Diamond/Sinacori is an award-winning residential developer with a history of developing historically significant sites around Massachusetts.
“We are pleased to be on this new path with Diamond/Sinacori,” said Battelle spokeswoman Katy Delaney. “Our mutual goal, as we sought ways to redevelop our former laboratory, has always been to do so in a way that benefits the community and the town. We’re confident our shared vision with Diamond/Sinacori will result in a development that meets those goals.”
With the signed agreement in place, Diamond/Sinacori will begin the process of working with town officials to implement the development plan.
