DUXBURY, Mass. (April 26, 2016)—Battelle announced today that it is moving forward with the sale of its 11-acre campus to well-known Boston area developers DIAMOND/SINACORI, LLC. Battelle officials recently signed a purchase and sale agreement.
“We have worked diligently to find the right developer for this unique piece of property—one who shares a good vision to meet our mutual goals,” said Battelle spokeswoman Katy Delaney. “We are sensitive to the historic and scenic nature of the property and our buyer selection process has gone to great lengths to assure its respectful redevelopment.”
Recognizing a need to invest in the newest technology and upgrade to more modern laboratories, Battelle moved its marine and environmental research operations to Norwell, Mass., in 2013 as it had outgrown the aging laboratory facilities.
DIAMOND/SINACORI is an award-winning residential developer with a history of developing historically significant sites.
With the signed agreements in place, DIAMOND/SINACORI will begin the process of working through the zoning and development particulars in conjunction with village officials and the community.
