Battelle's Capabilities

Battelle received awards in the following Pools:

• Research Pool: Includes all Research and Development (R&D) associated with manned, unmanned, optionally manned, and counter Unmanned Systems (UxS) platforms.
• Development / Systems Integration Pool: Technical expertise focused on systems integration, improvement, and/or engineering associated with manned, unmanned, and optionally manned platforms.
• Data Operations Pool: Includes performance of Data Operations including all data collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination activities associated with manned, unmanned, optionally manned platforms and robotics supporting mission performance. This includes traditional labor services, as well as “as a service” support.
• Support Pool: Provides support services (except training) required for successful execution of a product, program, project, or process regarding platforms and robotics for land, air, sea, or space; the planning necessary to support operational missions; and the analysis of the results of an operational mission.
• Ground Systems Pool: Includes the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of manned, optionally manned, unmanned ground platforms, and industrial machinery.
• Training Pool: Encompasses all training/instruction services required for successful execution of a product, program, project, or process regarding platforms and/or robotics for land, air, sea, or space.

Authorized Users

ASTRO is administered by GSA's AAS and sponsored by the DOD. It is designed to be a total solution vehicle for service-based requirements supporting all manned, unmanned, or optionally manned platforms and robotics. ASTRO orders may only be placed by authorized contracting officers within GSA's AAS.
